Chaberton Estate Winery is the largest estate winery in the Fraser Valley and one of the oldest in B.C. Located on 55 acres in The Township of Langley, Chaberton produces award winning wines from grapes from its own Fraser Valley property, as well as grapes from selected Okanagan and Similkameen Valley Vineyards. Our on-site restaurant, the Bacchus Bistro, takes great pride in creating fresh crafted food from local ingredients that respect the same traditions and attention to detail that goes into our wine making.

Tasting Room Associate
About the Role: Working in the wine shop, the ideal candidate will have a passion for wine and the hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of wine and wine sales
- Experience with cash (Bondable)
- Provide a high level of customer service to our guests and wine club members by phone or in person
- Be able to conduct wine tastings in potentially loud atmospheres as well as the private tasting room
- Monitor outdoor area
- Cleaning and organizing as required, including but not limited to; stocking shelves, cleaning glasses, changing garbage, tidying bathrooms
- Conduct tours of the vineyard and winery
- Perform other duties as assigned
About You: The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Comfortable IDing guests below the age of 30
- Ability to treat associates and guests with respect
- Positive attitude
- Ability to adapt to different situations, and be willing to keep learning
- Hold a valid Serving it Right Certificate
- Weekend and Evening shift availability
Salary:
- $18.00/hour
- Part Time, Permanent

Vintage Cellar Hand (Several Positions)
About the Role: The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, nice sense of humor, hardworking and have strong desire to make good wine. A full-time permanent position will be offered post-harvest to the right candidate.
- Receiving, processing and pressing grapes (operating must pump, crusher de-stemmer, 8 and 20 ton press)
- Transferring and racking tanks
- Fermentation management: Inoculations, nutrient additions, sampling, pump overs, punch downs, sugar monitoring, and digging out of fermenters
- Cellar sanitation: Tank & barrel cleaning, general cleaning of facility and winery equipment
- Conducting basic lab analysis (TA, pH, VA, SO2, Brix)
- Operating a forklift (stacking barrels, dumping grapes into the hoper)
- Carrying out barrel operations (filling, topping, racking)
About You: The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- A positive attitude
- Hardworking and enthusiastic
- Strong team player
- Ability to work independently and as part of the team
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and multi-tasking
- Some post-secondary university education, degrees with a specialization Winemaking or equivalent considered an asset
- Excellent forklift skills is an asset
- Lab experience would be considered as an asset
- Ability to work at heights
- Ability to lift 55 lbs
- Ability to legally work in Canada
- Transportation (carpooling is possible)
Salary:
- Negotiable based on experience
- Full Time, Seasonal (August 21, 2023 – December 1, 2023)
- Full-time permanent position will be offered post-harvest to the right candidate
