Wine Tasting Notes
Grown in the Fraser Valley, this wine produced aromas of lychee, pomelo, with a mouth-watering acidity and flavours of green apple and citrus. A small percentage of the wine was aged in new French oak for 4 months to accentuate the creamy and vanilla flavours, while keeping the fruit and floral notes from the remainder fermented in stainless steel and aged on lees post fermentation.
Winemakers Notes
89% of the Madeleine Sylvaner was fermented in stainless steel tanks, and aged on the lees post fermentation for 2 months to produce fruity and floral notes. 11% of the blend was barrel fermented for 4 months in new french oak, with battoage weekly to add a creamy vanilla note to the wine.
